the Mansion On Forsyth Park
Housed in a renovated 1888 Victorian Romanesque mansion, this Kessler boutique hotel sits on the edge of Forsyth Park, less than two miles from River Street and City Market. Inside the stately red-brick and terracotta building, the hotel is furnished with gold chandeliers, Versace armchairs upholstered in faux-leopard skin, and more than 400 original artworks. Among the most spacious in Savannah, the 126 guestrooms combine vintage furniture with contemporary paintings. The Mansion also features an outdoor pool, the rooftop Casimir’s Lounge, and the 700 Drayton restaurant, which hosts hands-on cooking classes with chef Gier Killen. The Mansion On Forsyth Park was located in the heart of what would be considered Savannah's "Victorian District." It is a quaint neighborhood with tons of charm, I could walk around and get lost looking at all of the unique homes and buildings... which is pretty much the reason my husband knew it would be a win with me.
